Punam Bhakta, APRN, FNP-C, is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner & Injection Specialist at Viva Day Spa + Med Spa. She provides cosmetic injectable services and advanced aesthetic treatments at Viva’s Round Rock location.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University in 2009 and her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Simmons College in 2016. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Throughout her healthcare career, Punam has cared for patients across a variety of specialties, including cardiovascular intensive care, internal medicine, pain management, urgent care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and preoperative anesthesia optimization. Her diverse clinical experience has provided a strong foundation for delivering safe, personalized care and helping patients feel confident in their treatment decisions.
After completing training in medical aesthetics, Punam began working in aesthetic medicine in late 2021. She went on to open a local aesthetics practice, and later served as Chief of Providers and Head Trainer for a national aesthetics training company. In that role, she taught courses in basic and advanced neurotoxin techniques, facial balancing, biostimulators, sclerotherapy, and other advanced aesthetic treatments.
Punam joined Viva’s medical team in June 2026 as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner & Injection Specialist, bringing advanced injectable experience, clinical depth, and a thoughtful teaching background to Viva’s Round Rock med spa team.
When she’s not helping Viva guests look and feel their best, Punam enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her niece and nephew. After nearly 30 years in the Austin and Hill Country area, she still loves discovering new places to visit, finding her next great read, and putting her self-described amateur chef skills to work in the kitchen. Her biggest fan at home is Layla, her mini Goldencavadoodle.
