First approved by the FDA in 2006, Juvéderm fillers are produced by Allergan, the maker of Botox.

Juvéderm Ultra XC

Juvéderm Ultra XC is filler primarily used to treat facial wrinkles and laugh lines. It is also ideal to boost fullness and add definition to your lips with natural-looking results (after just one treatment). Other applications include subtle lip enhancement, vertical lip lines and other fine lines around the mouth, and adding definition and the appearance of hydration.

Juvéderm Ultra Plus

Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC filler restores volume and fullness to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles, deep nasolabial folds (parentheses lines) and marionette lines. It is thicker than Juvéderm Ultra. Our aesthetic injectors also love it to add volume and plump lips!

Juvéderm Voluma XC

Juvéderm Voluma is a dermal filler for the cheeks that restores the volume, lift and contour to your cheeks that diminish as we age over time. Voluma is also used as a chin filler to improve the overall chin profile.

Juvéderm Vollure XC

Juvéderm Vollure XC is a hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler that smooths moderate to severe wrinkles and folds, specifically nasolabial folds, or marionette lines, around the nose and mouth.

Juvéderm Volbella XC

Juvéderm Volbella is an HA filler ideal for lip augmentation and smoothing/softening fine vertical lip lines (lipstick lines or perioral lines) around the mouth for a silky texture. Volbella is also FDA-approved for injection into under eye hollows to improve the appearance of bags and dark circles that can appear under the eye.

Facial fillers, sometimes called dermal fillers, are injectable substances that are placed into the mid-to-deep dermis of the face using an ultra-fine needle to add volume to hollows and empty spaces (hence, the term filler). These fillers biologically encourage your body to increase collagen and elastin. Overall, this restores structure, replenishes volume, and smooths wrinkles for a youthful, natural appearance.

The most common type of filler is hyaluronic acid, or H.A. filler, which provides immediate plumping. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that delivers volume to treatment areas. It also helps keep the skin hydrated, supple and youthful looking. The gel in Juvéderm fillers contains a modified form of HA.

Dermal filler is one of the most popular aesthetic treatments today. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, filler treatments like Juvéderm are one of the top-5 most common nonsurgical cosmetic procedures in the US.

All Juvéderm fillers contain lidocaine to ensure minimal discomfort during your treatment. A certified Viva practitioner will inject Juvéderm with a fine needle into the tissue beneath the epidermis per your treatment plan. During the treatment, you will feel slight pressure and dulled needle pricks. It’s a quick treatment and requires little to no downtime.

Mild bruising and swelling is common for the first 3-5 days after filler injections. Lips tend to bruise and swell more, so they may take a little longer to heal. You can typically resume normal activities immediately after your treatment.

You will see near immediate improvement after your Juvéderm injections — usually within three days. All filler treatments are FDA approved for up to 12 months, with results that can last between 1-2 years. The duration of results will vary based on how quickly your body metabolizes the filler (our bodies all behave uniquely) and the type, quantity and depth of the filler treatment.
