Dr. Joseph Kelling serves as the Medical Director for Viva Day Spa + Med Spa in Dallas, and is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition to leading the medical team at Viva Dallas, Dr. Kelling specializes in aesthetic facial, breast, and body surgery in private practice at Kelling Plastic Surgery in Dallas, Texas.
A career in cosmetic plastic surgery appealed to Kansas City native Dr. Kelling because it’s “such a unique specialty” where he can “help someone feel more confident so they can become more empowered in their own story going forward.” His personal philosophy is focused on “achieving natural appearing results for his patients without the people around them knowing that they’ve had something done.”
Known for his steady hand, approachable presence, and eye for natural beauty, Dr. Kelling says, “refinement, not reinvention, is always the goal.”
At home, Dr. Kelling loves spending time with his wife and three children, running along the Northaven or KT Trail in Dallas, and enjoying Dallas’s amazing restaurants. He is a golfer and an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the Kansas City Chiefs and Creighton Bluejays.
Education & Training
Dr. Kelling received his undergraduate degree with honors at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where played for their nationally-ranked Men’s Basketball Team. He continued his medical studies at Creighton University School of Medicine where he earned his M.D. before graduating from UT Southwestern, one of the top plastic surgery programs in the nation.
Joseph Kelling, M.D. performs a wide range of minimally invasive and surgical procedures for both men and women at both his private practice, Kelling Plastic Surgery, and at Baylor Plastic Surgery with his mentor, Dr. Paul Pin, Chief of Plastic Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Kelling is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is also a community faculty member for the UT Southwestern Plastic Surgery Residency, which he considers one of his greatest honors. His articles have appeared in numerous peer-reviewed publications in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal as well as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the journal.
