  • Anxiety
  • Digestive disorders
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches

What Is A Full Body Massage?

A full-body massage at Viva Day Spa includes your arms, legs, hands and feet, your neck and scalp, back and your glutes. It might also include your face, pecs, and stomach depending on the issues you’re trying to address during your treatment.

Are You Open For Massage On Sunday?

Yes! Viva Day Spa is open for massages on Sunday at all of our locations. In fact, we’re open everyday from 9am to 9pm. Scheduling your massage on Sunday makes the most relaxing day of the week even more so.

What Is A Licensed Massage Therapist?

Massage therapists go to school to learn how to manipulate the soft-tissue muscles of the body to relieve soreness, improve circulation, rehabilitate injuries, reduce stress and increase relaxation. Massage therapy programs require between 6-12 months of classroom study and hands-on practice.

Texas is one of 43 states, along with the District of Columbia, that regulate massage therapists and require a license.

What Should I Wear During A Full-Body Massage?

This is completely up to you. During their massage, many spa guests choose to undress completely, while some choose to leave on their underwear. Before your massage, your massage therapist will exit the room for you undress and get completely comfortable under the covers on the massage table. During your massage, your therapist will use a draping technique with the sheet to cover your body except for the body part being worked on.

Minors: Viva Day Spa require guests under the age of 17 wear a bathing suit or under garments while receiving services.

Will I Be Sore After My Massage?

Massage therapy releases lactic acid from the muscles, which can cause a little temporary muscle soreness. The lactic acid crystallizes in your muscles after being worked out. That’s why it is important to drink plenty of water following a massage. You need to help hydrate the tissue and flush the toxins that are being released in your body.

Can I Choose A Male Or Female Massage Therapist?

Yes, Viva Day Spa has talented male and female massage therapists. Please let us know your preference when you schedule your massage treatment by phone or when you book an appointment online.

Swedish vs Deep Tissue Massage

The main difference between Swedish massage and deep tissue massage is the amount of pressure used by your massage therapist. Deep tissue massage uses more pressure than Swedish massage. It’s such a common question that we wrote a whole blog post about it: “What’s the Difference Between Swedish Massage And Deep Tissue Massage?
