This stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal by producing new collagen and elastin fibers, encouraging your skin to look and feel healthier. There is no tissue destruction with micro needling. The small channels in the epidermis close very quickly and the skin begins a healing response of producing new collagen and elastin right away.

This skin rejuvenation treatment is safe and effective for all parts of the body including the face, neck, and décolletage (the area that of your chest that is exposed when you wear a top with a lower neckline). It helps improve:

Your esthetician will apply a numbing cream prior to your treatment to minimize any discomfort. The high-speed motor of the SkinPen device causes needle penetration to occur very quickly. The sensation you will experience is often described by our clients as feeling like sandpaper or a cat’s tongue. Scar treatment with microneedling requires deeper penetration into the nerve space, which can cause discomfort.

After the numbing cream wears off, you’ll feel like you have a sunburn. This usually only lasts for 24 hours.

The microneedle healing process begins almost immediately. Your skin will look smoother and more radiant in a week following your microneedling treatment at Viva Day Spa + Med Spa. Results are gradual, with incremental improvement with each session.

After microneedling, you’ll look like you have a sunburn on your face. Most of our patients take the day off and return to work the following day.

For deeper treatments, redness may persist for several days or a week, and you may also experience slight pinprick bleeding that will stop immediately. For special events, we recommend planning for 7 days for a complete recovery.
