What Is A Chemical Peel?

Simply put, a chemical peel is an acid solution (there are different solutions) that is applied to the top layers of the skin. The acid causes it to exfoliate and slowly peel off. This uncovers new, regenerated skin that has a smoother, fresher appearance.

Micropeel Plus

This medical grade skin peel provides a unique one-step, self-neutralizing chemical exfoliation designed to reduce acne and help correct environmental skin damage. SkinCeutical’s Micropeel Plus is formulated with a salicylic acid (Salicylic 20% or 30%) to refine pores and help reduce the appearance of acne and glycolic acid to aid in the improvement of rough texture, blotchiness, and uneven skin tone.

One week following a Micropeel Plus treatment, your skin will undergo its renewal process — light to moderate peeling may occur for up to 3 days. This is a great chemical face peel for active acne, cystic acne, and acne scarring.

ADVANCED CORRECTIVE PEEL

This is the second most intensive, advanced chemical peel offered at Viva Day Spa + Med Spa. This 30-minute Advanced Corrective Peel from SkinCeuticals works in the lowest (basal) layer of the epidermis, where live tissue, pigmentation, and age spots dwell.

Formulated with clinical-grade acids and a maximized peel concentration of phenylethyl resorcinol, it’s unique combination of ingredients sloughs off even the most stubborn pigmentation, evens skin tone and texture, and helps minimize enlarged pores.

Ideal Skin Type: Advanced Corrective Peel is ideal for all skin types, Fitzpatrick 1-4:

Smart TCA Peel

This is the most intensive, medical grade peel in the SkinCeuticals line. A 30-minute treatment, the Smart TCA Peel is a deep superficial peel comprised of 15% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and 3% gylcolic acid that:

• Comprehensively exfoliates dead, dry skin cells
• Improves the appearance of moderate to advancing fine lines and wrinkles
• Fades stubborn discoloration and hyperpigmentation
• Restorative Masque reduces skin’s temperature to improve post-peel comfort

As part of your chemical peel, you’ll also receive a Smart TCA Restorative Masque. It is patented and exclusive for use post-TCA, with a botanical blend to bind moisture to the skin and prevent loss of hydration.
