Two Treatment Options for Personalized Results

Viva offers nonsurgical BBL treatments using two advanced cosmetic injectables:

Woman's buttocks and hip peek out from boyshort undies - Sculptra BBLs from Viva Day Spa + Med Spa in Austin, Dallas, & Round Rock, TX

Sculptra BBL: Sculptra stimulates natural collagen production for gradual, long-lasting lift and fullness

Radiesse BBL: Radiesse provides immediate volume with continued improvement over time

Both options offer big advantages over surgery, including: minimal discomfort, shorter recovery time, and dramatically lower risk of complications.

With both fillers, you’ll see visible improvement in your derrière’s shape and tone, without the long healing process required after surgical procedures.

What is a Nonsurgical Brazilian Butt Lift?

A nonsurgical Brazilian butt lift — sometimes called a liquid BBL — is a non-invasive medical procedure that uses cosmetic injectables to enhance the shape, fullness, and lift of your buttocks. It’s a safe alternative to complicated, expensive and invasive plastic surgery (gluteoplasty) and delivers natural-looking results without the risks of an operation.

The procedure uses either Sculptra (a collagen-stimulating injectable made of poly-L-lactic acid) or Radiesse (a dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite). Each works differently, but both are effective ways to add volume and contour.

Your injector will recommend the best option — or a combination — based on your unique goals and body type.

How Do Sculptra and Radiesse BBLs Work?

Sculptra Aesthetic product packaging held in Viva Med Spa Cosmetic Injector's handSculptra and Radiesse are the two most popular and effective fillers for nonsurgical butt augmentation. Both enhance volume and contour, but they differ in how quickly results appear and how long they last. With either option, your BBL can be customized based on the unique features of each dermal filler and your body:

Using Sculptra for BBL

Sculptra dermal filler is a biostimulator (poly-L-lactic acid) that is injected into the treatment area to stimulate collagen production. By encouraging your body to gradually build its own volume, this BBL filler matches the body’s shape and existing curves for a more natural look.

Results improve for months after treatment and can last up to two years or more. Sculptra is ideal for individuals seeking subtle, natural-looking, long-term improvements across the buttocks area.

Radiesse_BoxUsing Radiesse for BBL

Radiesse is a filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel. It provides an immediate lift and volume boost, especially effective for enhancing a smaller or sagging appearance. It also helps smooth areas with cellulite or unevenness and, similar to Sculptra, results improve over time as well.

Results are visible right away and last up to a year or longer. Radiesse is a great choice for those seeking faster results or more targeted shaping.

Building Volume Over Multiple Visits

Both treatments are delivered through a series of sessions. Most people need two to four Sculptra visits spaced four to eight weeks apart. Radiesse usually requires fewer sessions. The total number of injections and visits will depend on your body’s unique features and your desired outcomes.

What Issues Does a Nonsurgical Brazilian Butt Lift Address?

A nonsurgical Brazilian butt lift improves the following aesthetic issues:

  • Small, flat appearance
  • Sagging of the buttocks (“saggy butt”)
  • Poor tone and shape
  • Appearance of cellulite
  • Stretch marks
  • Unevenness
  • Hip dips (area between hip and lower buttock)
  • Dimples in the butt cheeks

The Benefits of a Nonsurgical Brazilian Butt Lift

Safe and Quick Recovery

Unlike surgical BBLs, injectables like Sculptra and Radiesse don’t require a lengthy recovery time, and don’t create serious swelling, bruising, or pain. They’re also safer and easier on the body. Surgical BBL procedures risk serious complications like pulmonary fat embolisms and infection. Nonsurgical BBLs don’t come with these risks. Most liquid BBL recipients find they are completely pain-free and back to normal in a few days or less.

Subtle Volume and Lift

A Brazilian Butt Lift utilizing Sculptra and Radiesse provides natural curves and shape that will fill out your jeans without looking too obvious. At Viva’s med spa, the goal is for guests to leave with a perkier, fuller booty and the confidence that comes with it.

Addresses Common Issues Like Hip Dips and Cellulite

Hip dips are indentations that can occur on the sides of the legs — between the hip bone and the lower buttocks. In many cases, a BBL can correct problem areas like hip dips. Because your aesthetician can control exactly where to place these fillers, the liquid butt lift can also reduce or eliminate the appearance of cellulite.

Long-Lasting

Nonsurgical BBL outcomes can last month or even years, depending on factors such as the dermal filler used and the number of sessions. Additionally, the shape and the volume can actually improve throughout the life of your procedure.

FAQs: Nonsurgical Brazilian Butt Lifts

Who Is a Good Candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Patients who are in good health and not pregnant, not planning to become pregnant, and not currently breastfeeding are ideal candidates for nonsurgical BBL procedures. Our med spa staff will review past medical conditions on a case-by-case basis to see if they contraindicate nonsurgical BBL procedures.

Individuals with known allergies to lidocaine, dermal fillers, or bee venom should not receive nonsurgical BBL treatments.

What Happens During a Nonsurgical Brazilian Butt Lift?

Before Your Treatment

Before your first treatment, you’ll meet with our med spa staff to discuss your goals for your body and assess your buttock’s current shape and size. We’ll also review your medical history to rule out any issues that might cause a problem and talk through the potential risks and benefits.

Our team will then develop a personalized treatment plan recommending the best approach, including which treatment will work best and the number of sessions needed to achieve your desired results. We’ll also review costs and provide a price quote.

You’ll be asked to avoid alcohol and other blood thinners before your treatment. This will mitigate the risk of bruising, swelling, and bleeding and overall result in an easier recovery.

During the Session

Before your injection, the med spa staff member performing your procedure will cleanse the area thoroughly, then apply a topical anesthetic or local anesthesia as needed to enhance comfort during the procedure.

The staff member will then perform a series of injections in the buttocks using a number of vials in your chosen filler, as indicated in your treatment plan.

Each session lasts for around 60 to 90 minutes, and you may need to complete multiple sessions depending on the type of filler and look you hope to obtain.

After Your BBL Session

When the series of injections is finished, our team will get you scheduled for any necessary follow-up sessions. You’ll be advised on how to care for your body during recovery, including avoiding strenuous activities, sitting for prolonged periods, and avoiding direct pressure on the treated area for a few days.

You may experience some swelling, bruising and tenderness in the buttocks after your treatment. This is typically mild, and resolves in a few days.

Is There Any Discomfort or Pain During the Treatment?

During your procedure, you may experience moderate pain and some pressure. Your clinician will use numbing agents and other pain management tools to reduce discomfort.

What Does the Nonsurgical Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery Process Look Like?

Nonsurgical BBLs are just that: not surgical. The procedure is much less invasive, meaning little to no healing process and a shorter recovery time. Post-treatment discomforts include mild swelling and pain that resolves in a few days.

After the treatment, Sculptra recipients should massage the area for five minutes, five times a day, for five days.

How Long Until I See Results?

Sculptra BBLs typically yield results in about three to six months and continue to improve as the months go on.

In fact, in clinical trials of Sculptra facial treatments, participants said they were even more satisfied at the 22-month mark than they were at three or even six months. Sculptra BBLs have a similar effect, so clients can expect to see better volume and lift over time.

Radiesse provides an immediate improvement in the shape and size of the buttocks for clients who want more targeted, defined volume right away.

How Long Does a Brazilian Butt Lift Last?

Most BBL recipients enjoy months upon months of improved shape and smoothness.

Clients who opt for Sculptra can expect results to continue for 24+ months.

The immediate volume effect of Radiesse lasts about 12–18 months on average. Radiesse also provides a collagen-stimulating effect. Many people notice a longer-lasting improvement in firmness or contour that can persist up to ~2 years, because your body produces new collagen around the filler.
