How Does PhotoFacial Work?
It emits intense pulses of light that penetrate the skin and are absorbed by damaged tissue, stimulating the production of collagen and causing blood vessels beneath the epidermis to constrict. What Does A PhotoFacial Treatment Feel Like?
Our highly trained photo rejuvenation specialist will first apply numbing cream to your skin. After your skin in numbed (about 15 minutes), special glasses will be placed over your eyes to protect them, and then cool gel will be applied on the skin that is being treated. The smooth glass surface of the IPL PhotoFacial handpiece is gently applied to your skin.
You will feel a slight stinging when the light pulses are emitted. At the end of your treatment, your IPL PhotoFacial specialist will wipe off the gel, clean the area with a warm cloth, and apply a moisturizer and sunscreen. This treatment requires no downtime, making ideal for people with busy schedules.
How Many IPL PhotoFacial Treatments Will I Need?
For optimal results, we recommend a full series of six IPL PhotoFacials scheduled 4-6 weeks apart.
When Will I See Results From My PhotoFacial Treatment?
Improvements are gradual, becoming more visible after each IPL PhotoFacial session. Your skin will feel smoother and softer, with a more even skin tone, after your first treatment.The skin commonly looks slightly redder after treatment for 2-5 days. Pigmentation like freckles and age spots will also generally look darker for 3-7 days before visible improvement.

Are there any side effects?
The main side effects of IPL PhotoFacial treatments are mild, temporary swelling, redness, an accentuation of the brown spots, crusting, and an occasional bruise or small superficial blister (like a sunburn blister). Your photo rejuvenation specialist will go over post-procedure care with you before and after your treatment.
What will I look like right after the PhotoFacial treatment?
Freckles and age spots generally look darker for 3-7 days while pigment comes to the surface. Crusting can occur, which may last up to ten days, before it begins to clear and resolve within a month. Please note that it takes an average of 3-5 treatments to clear age spots.
