Julia Hoy is retired.
After an incredible 20+ year career in aesthetics, Julia is officially retiring! Her final day at Viva was Tuesday, July 9th 2024. We’re so grateful for the expertise and guidance she provided all of us — patients and co-workers alike — during her four years at Viva.
Julia Hoy, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, PhD is a board certified aesthetic Family Nurse Practitioner at Viva Day Spa + Med Spa. She provides cosmetic injectable services and other aesthetic treatments at three of Viva’s med spa locations in Austin: Viva Day Spa + Med Spa Domain Northside, in South Austin at Viva Day Spa + Med Spa Lamar, and in Central Austin at Viva Day Spa + Med Spa 35th.
Julia earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas in Austin. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from the University of Kansas. Julia is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing. In 2022, Julia earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Degree from Walden University (while working full-time at Viva).
She began her nursing career in open heart surgery and CVICU in Ohio, followed by a stint in medical device and pharmaceutical sales. Julia followed her passion and began her career as an aesthetic provider in 2001.
For eight years, Julia was responsible for sales and training injectors in Radiesse, Beloero, and Xeomin for Bioform/Merz Aesthetics throughout Texas. Prior to joining Viva’s medical team in 2020, Julia practiced as an aesthetic nurse practitioner for several other Austin medical spas where she specialize in anti-aging treatments and cosmetic injectables.
Outside of Viva, you’ll find Julia working out at Orange Theory or walking Lady Bird Lake. She loves relaxing at the lake and traveling, especially on long road trips with her husband. Lucy and Milly, her grand dogs, are her hang-time favorites.
